Permit Process:

If your property is within the district and you would like to connect your home to public water below are the necessary steps to complete the application/construction process:

  • Complete and submit permit to [email protected]
  • LCWSA staff will confirm receipt and issue a new customer water permit.
  • The contractor hired by the Town of Groveland will install a new water service tap at your property.
  • If you have a specific location, you would like the new service installed, we request that you mark the location with a stake in your front yard. Stakes will be available from the Town of Groveland or LCWSA.
  • A contractor of your choice will install the water service line within your property.
  • LCWSA will complete a trench inspection. Please allow 24 hours’ notice for all inspections.
  • Pick up your new water meter and fittings at the Lakeville Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1997 D’Angelo Drive, Lakeville. Office and phone hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Please call ahead for a meter pickup (585) 346-3523.
  • The owner is required to install the meter and required fittings within the home and LCWSA staff will inspect the meter install and confirm the well has been disconnected prior to turning water on.
  • If your property requires a meter pit, LCWSA staff will bring a meter to be installed in the pit prior to water turn on.
  • Please note: Most properties in the district will require a pressure regulator for the water service. Your plumber will require this fitting even if your property has a meter pit.
